I was immediately intrigued by this charmer in a 2-inch (5-cm) flowerpot for sale at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2012\/02\/27\/pacific-orchid-expo-2012\/\">last winter&#8217;s Pacific Orchid Expo<\/a>. My reward came a few months later with these tiny, light pink blooms. In cultivation, it doesn&#8217;t want much <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/care\/details\/water.html\">water<\/a>. Most days I spray it with the mister, and only give it a thorough watering when the soil looks dry. Both the larger species and the mini are deciduous. After dropping their leaves, they need to stay cool and dry over <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/care\/details\/dormancy.html\">winter dormancy<\/a>. Water once or twice per month to keep underground tubers from drying.
