As one of one the nation&#8217;s preeminent natural history museums, it also features an extensive aquarium, a planetarium, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.calacademy.org\/academy\/building\/the_living_roof\/\" target=\"_blank\">a living roof<\/a>, and even a small penguin colony.\u00a0 This post highlights some of the creatures living in the museum.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in the aquarium, the <a href=\"http:\/\/marinebio.org\/species.asp?id=55\" target=\"_blank\">Leopard Shark<\/a> in the first photo is native to local waters.
