These events last for weeks, rather than just a weekend, so there&#8217;s no excuse to miss them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January 8 &#8211; February 24<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\" http:\/\/www.botanicgardens.org\/exhibits\/indoor\/orchid-showcase\" target=\"_blank\"> In the mile-high city, Denver Botanic Gardens creates an Orchid Showcase.<\/a> Escape from the cold with hundreds of orchids adorning the Orangery. Free orchid repotting demos happen every weekend during the exhibit&#8217;s run.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January 11 \u2013 April 13<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\" http:\/\/www.fpconservatory.org\/The-Experience\/Exhibitions\/Upcoming\/Orchids!\" target=\"_blank\">For over three months, Orchids! in Franklin Park Conservatory provide Columbus, Ohio with a break from winter.<\/a> Warm up with orchid displays, talks, tours, and Q&amp;A sessions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January 18 \u2013 March 9<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\" http:\/\/phipps.conservatory.org\/exhibits-and-events\/featured-event.aspx?eventid=451\" target=\"_blank\"> Phipp\u2019s Conservatory in\u00a0Pittsburgh invites all to its annual Orchid and Tropical Bonsai Show.<\/a> This respected institution is becoming a prominent center for Slipper Orchids, so expect lots of great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/identify\/orchids\/paphiopedilum.html\">Paphs<\/a>.<br \/>\n<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>January 25 &#8211; March 23<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.dsbg.org\/events_detail.php?id=2198#title\" target=\"_blank\"> Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, North Carolina celebrates Art &amp; Orchids.<\/a> Colorful orchids and exotic plants compose living art pieces, and are complemented by the sculptures of a local artist.<\/p>\n<p><strong>January 25 \u2013 March 30<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\" http:\/\/longwoodgardens.org\/events-and-performances\/events\/orchid-extravaganza\" target=\"_blank\"> An Orchid Extravaganza fills a 4 acre (1.6 hectare) conservatory at Longwood Gardens near Philadelphia.<\/a> Thousands of orchids provide a winter escape.
