The event opens today and runs until August 24th. How do you move a 661 pound (300 kg) orchid? Carefully! It&#8217;s a rare sight in bloom, but this one is a baby compared to the biggest ones, which can weigh more than 1 ton (907 kg.)<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Installation of the world&#039;s largest species of orchid, the Tiger Orchid (Grammatophyllum speciosum)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/kZ0lFzcX9-M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The Singapore Garden Festival takes place at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Gardens+by+the+Bay\/@1.281568,103.863613,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x62099677b59fca76\" target=\"_blank\">Gardens by the Bay<\/a>.
