A new nature reserve there could save 5% of all orchid species on earth, including many rare and fascinating <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2010\/10\/24\/sinister-draculas\/\">Draculas<\/a>. Now, the Orchid Conservation Alliance is working with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rainforesttrust.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">the Rainforest Trust<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldlandtrust.org\/about\/partners\/ecominga\" target=\"_blank\">Fundaci\u00f3n EcoMinga<\/a> to purchase land on the slopes of the Andes for the sanctuary. They need to raise $44,000 for the first phase of this project.
