These mini orchids have eye-catching colors and patterns. Their small leaves require <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2011\/03\/29\/let-the-sunshine-in\/\">morning sun<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/aboutorchids.com\/care\/details\/temperature.html\">warm temps<\/a>. With thin roots, which need to dry out between <a href=\"http:\/\/aboutorchids.com\/care\/details\/water.html\">waterings<\/a>, they&#8217;re often <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2013\/05\/21\/mounted-orchid-care\/\">grown on mounts<\/a>. This allows them to dry quicker than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/care\/details\/potting.html\">potted plants<\/a>. Although the plants remain small, their flower spikes can reach up to 18 inches (46 cm,) so they do require some extra space when in bloom. Old spikes may blossom again, so don&#8217;t cut them off when they&#8217;re done.
