This species is native only to the Emerald Isle. In the Irish language, it&#8217;s called <em>Magairlin gaelach<\/em>.\u00a0The intense colors and spotted patterns on the flower lip rival the showiness of many better-known tropical cousins. These European <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2010\/09\/11\/terrestrial-orchids\/\">terrestrial<\/a> species can be tricky to identify, but fortunately, orchid expert friends helped me name it.
