The three photos above represent orchids which currently have AGMs. They are <em>Pleione formosana<\/em>, <em>Stenoglottis longifolia<\/em>, and Oncidium Sharry Baby, the chocolate scented orchid.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike other <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/14\/orchid-awards\/\">orchid awards<\/a>, these are not given to individual plants. They are presented to species or hybrids which are found to be tough, dependable bloomers with appropriate care. Dozens of orchids have AGMs, such as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2010\/04\/19\/jewel-orchid\/\">Jewel Orchids<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/blog\/2012\/05\/15\/lady-slippers\/\">Lady Slippers<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aboutorchids.com\/identify\/orchids\/cymbidium.html\">Cymbidiums<\/a>. The RHS list has hardiness info, and which kinds can be used alpine or rock gardens.
