Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden is offering rare orchids seedlings for sale for local residents. They&#8217;re all part of Florida&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/fairchildgarden.org\/science-and-education\/science\/million-orchid-project\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Million Orchid Project<\/a>, modeled after Singapore&#8217;s success at restoring its endangered species by planting lots of them everywhere, even in a busy city. <a href=\"https:\/\/fairchildgarden.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fairchild<\/a> and its conservation partners have been growing the orchids from seed, and planting them around South Florida. The native varieties include the <a href=\"https:\/\/orders.fairchildgarden.org\/collections\/orchids\/products\/the-million-orchid-project-restoration-kit-small-encyclia-tampensis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Butterfly Orchid<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/orders.fairchildgarden.org\/collections\/orchids\/products\/epidendrum-nocturnum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Night Fragrant Epidendrum<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/orders.fairchildgarden.org\/collections\/orchids\/products\/the-million-orchid-project-restoration-kit-trichocentrum-undulatum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mule Eared Orchid<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/orders.fairchildgarden.org\/collections\/orchids\/products\/oncidium-ensatum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida Oncidium<\/a>. The kits consist of a dozen or more seedlings with instructions for mounting the plants. You must be in the Miami area to order online.<\/p>\n<p>Update: <a href=\"https:\/\/members.flos.org\/FLOS-store\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Broward County, Florida residents can also buy these kits through the Ft.
